Time

Betty Lue

January 15, 2012

Notes: I am in South Lake Tahoe with the grandkids and their parents for the week. There is absolutely no snow. My loving reminders may not be consistent, because I am busy much of the time with preparing meals, food, playing games and helping with homework. First things first, but always these Loving Reminders matter to me. In truth, they are a point of spiritual connection with you and all, so I love writing them. I will write and send as time and internet permit.

How do you manage your time? Do you waste time? Do you fill your time? Do you use your time wisely?

Some think about what they are going to do and never get to doing what they imagine. Some worry about what they might do wrong and procrastinate because of fears. Some wait for others to help them do what they want or seek approval before doing. Some are not sure about what they “should” do and spend lots of time trying to get clear. Some simply do whatever they feel called to do right when they feel the call.

Fear, worry and concern slow us down or stop completion of our doing. Distraction or inner conflict about creates slow progress and often interrupts finishing. Some look for interruptions and breaks and excuses to not do. Those who complete their tasks quickly and easily are focused, inner directed and positive in their work.

When you hear yourself complaining, forgive and choose again for fun, safe and easy completion. When you feel yourself conflicted, as your self what it the highest and best choice you can make right now. When you are distracted, step away and give yourself a space in which no one and nothing interrupts you. Or when you are happy and willing, just accept however you choose to use your time and enjoy it all.

Sounds like I am talking about what is happening as I write this, doesn’t it? I trust that when my first grader Lila asks for help, it is appropriate (highest and best) for everyone. I know that my intention is to be truly helpful, so I trust and respect my self and others. When I am with the children, I usually am totally focused, but in this setting I also take time for me.

Ask yourself, how do you use your time. I have much I love to do with my time, talents and treasures. I do what pleases me and brings me joy. I also change my attitude about doing those things which I may not have enjoyed.

Watch yourself and change your words to “ I choose to ….” Rather than “I hsve to….” When we realize that we are totally responsible for all our choices, whether aware or not, we can more fully appreciate ourselves. When we think we are at the effect or a victim, of others demands or expectations, we may resist and not enjoy the choice we make to comply.

Use today to take total responsibility for everything you experience and choose to enjoy it all. Where you do not value your choice, forgive yourself and choose again for something better. Loving you and me as we set ourselves free to see and be all that we choose to be. Doing what I love to do in loving you and me and all.
