Canary in the Coal Mine

Blessings of gratitude and joy in your willingness to take Good care of the Real You. Betty Lue

March 8, 2011

Are you sensitive? Do you feel when the slightest thing is off for you? Are you aware of negativity or other’s pain? Have you become increasingly sensitive to what works and doesn’t work for you?

As we clear our past pain and defenses with forgiveness, we notice what is left more. As we release our own issues and become truly peaceful, we notice the slightest conflict. As we are usually happy, even the tiniest guilt, fear or judgment feels overwhelming. When we have cleared the big rocks out of our consciousness, the tiniest pebble hurts.

The canary metaphor is about using the most sensitive to discern where there is toxicity. When the canary dies in the coal mine, the miners know to get out! When the infant cries for “no” reason, we need to listen for the thoughts or energies present. When we find ourselves feeling unexpectedly uncomfortable, we need to notice what is wrong.

As we become more aware, we notice what is “right” for us. As we grow spiritually, we notice what no longer supports our wellness and happiness. As we forgive and release our inner fears and history, we notice the fears of others more. As we clear our own consciousness, we can feel when anothers’ ‘hell’ intersects with our heaven.

Rather than become numb to people and environment as we evolve spiritually, we are more aware. When we react with defensiveness and fear, we create more of the same in our self protection. When we respond with forgiveness and love, we easily choose to step away and choose what is best. When we react with fear, we increase our fear. When we respond with love, we strengthen our Love.

Take time to listen to your sensitive self. Give kindness and respect for your inner truth. Be patient in making decisions that are “right” for you. Let go of allowing others to judge or guide you in their ways.

Listen to your inner Truth. Respect your Self. Respond to your Self. Love your Self, mistakes and all.

When we deny ourselves anything, we either feel hurt and angry or we feel neglected and unloved. Give yourself the consciousness to choose wisely and well for you. The world will benefit when you are true to your own inner guidance. Love yourself Well today and you will be loving me and all.

You Are A Flower in the Garden of Life

If you would grow to be your best self Be patient, not demanding Accepting, not condemning Nurturing, not withholding Self-marveling, not belittling Gently guiding, not pushing & punishing

For you are more sensitive than you know Mankind is tough as war Yet delicate as flowers We can endure agonies But we open fully only to warmth & light And our need to grow is fragile as a fragrance Dispersed by storms of will To return only when those storms are still

So accept, respect, Attend your sensitivity
