When You Don’t Know…..

When you don’t know, do you seek information? When you don’t know what to do, do you ask for guidance? When you don’t know how to do something, do you get someone to show you? When you don’t know where you are going, do you ask for directions?

Are you afraid to acknowledge that you don’t know? Do you pretend to be wise, when you are uncertain? Do you sound sure of yourself, when you are afraid? Do you look secure and act defensive, when you don’t want others’ input?

Where do you go for help? What criteria do you use for expert advice? Who do you trust with your doubt and uncertainty? How do you assess what is wise and good for you?

*************************** I look for reliability and consistency. I seek information that has credibility over time. I ask for help from those who lives are successful and happy. I open to those who are truly helpful rather than critical.

When I want spiritual guidance, I choose to go within. I prefer to hear within myself what is highest and best for me. I am not called to books or teachings that fit for others. I am drawn to those beings who have demonstrated a life that is good, helpful and genuinely caring.

Over my lifetime, I have studied many paths and been with many teachers and their teachings. It has been true for me that my path (any yours) is unique to me. My work is to honor my own uniqueness and trust in the guidance within me. My calling has been listen within for answers to every question with trust and freedom.

I value inner guidance, more than opinions. I value higher wisdom more than advice. I value inspiration and creativity more than caution and conformity. I value my inner Truth more than outer certainty. Listen to what works for you. Look at whom you trust. Observe what works and does not work for you. Choose what is highest and best for all concerned.
